English Teachers

English teachers have been an integral part of our team ever since the founding of the school in 1970. At present we have more than 45 native English teachers working in our three campuses. We strive to provide a supportive environment, not just to our students, but to our teachers as well. We design specific teacher development programs tailored for the unique needs of our native English teaching team, and these programs serve well to enhance their pedagogical competence in supporting our children to learn the English language within the peculiar language environment in Hong Kong.

 

We welcome applications throughout the year from interested parties holding professional qualifications in Early Childhood education (such as Nursery Nursing, NVQ Level 3, PGDE, PGCE, BEd, MEd…). 

 

 

 

 

Chinese Teachers

St. Catherine’s International Kindergarten attaches great importance to children’s language learning and development in Chinese, English and Putonghua. We believe that good language skills are fundamental to children’s cognitive and intellectual development, and provision of quality language learning experience for young children lies on teachers’ proficiency in the language. Therefore, we welcome enthusiastic and experienced teachers who have obtained relevant teaching qualifications (e.g. CE / PGDE / BEd.(ECE) / MEd) to join our teaching team and work together with us in the pursuit of excellence.

 

 

 

 

 

Putonghua Teachers

We have a group of well-qualified Putonghua teachers who nurture children’s interest in learning Putonghua and foster their language comprehension skills in listening to and speaking the language. For those who want to apply as Putonghua teachers, they should meet the following requirements in addition to the aforementioned professional qualifications.

• The applicant’s mother tongue must be Putonghua
• The applicants should have passed the Language Proficiency Assessment (Putonghua Benchmark Test) / Putonghua Proficiency Test and hold the National Language Committee (國家語委) level 2A (or above) Certificate.
