St. Catherine’s International Kindergarten was founded in 1970 by Mrs. Christina Lau Chan, who holds a firm belief in the significance of children’s early language development on their life-long learning, and St. Catherine’s was one of the first kindergartens in Hong Kong to employ native English speakers to teach English.
Over the past fifty years St. Catherine’s has earned its reputation and high standing in the community by providing quality early education in line with our motto: “A Tradition of Excellence”.
Our unparalleled curriculum merges a strong academic foundation favoured by the Eastern culture with professional early childhood educational practices advocated in the West. Children in St. Catherine’s are thus developed holistically. Not only are St. Catherine’s students strong academically, they are distinguished by their love of learning and their critical and creative thinking skills.
